Giina the Show Girl: Her Page
Hi, my name is Giina;
I'm a nine-year-old Blenheim Cavalier. I live in Wales with my mum
and all my family. My life is very confusing, my mum lives down
the road from me, her mum is violently allergic to me and my family.
Lydia, my mum comes and sees me all the time and I don't really
mind. She loves me to pieces and Sue, my other mum, says I'm spoilt
rotten! I don't think so, do you? I think I'm a very lucky dog!
I was given to Lydia on her Birthday on the 9th June 2000 and I considered myself
a very lucky pooch, wouldn't you agree?
I'm a show dog and I travel a lot to loads of different shows al
round the country. Lots of times we come away with a prize and mum
is really happy and I get lots of hugs and people saying how clever
I am, but there are lots of times when we come away empty handed.
Boy how I hate it when this happens, but you have to take the rough
with the smooth!!!!!!
I go to Crufts every year and I love
it there coz all my friends go and it's the best excuse of the whole
year to sit around and be admired! This year (2002) I went into
the oldies class, and we came out second, which is pretty impressive
for me! I got so much attention but my mum's friend burst into tears,
which I still don't understand why.
My doggy
mum, Georgii, died this September and is playing happily at the
Rainbow Bridge with al her friends and family. We all really miss
her. Her death was so sudden and totally unexpected, she was fine
one day and then on the Friday she died. I really miss her because
she and I went everywhere together and spent al our time doing nothing.
Mum was really upset and so was everyone else. She really left a
gap in our hearts and mum keeps saying there will never be another
dog quite like Georgii.
On to happier things...
My bestest friend in the whole world is Rosie. She is a two year
old Blenheim Cavalier that lives in America. She is really pretty
and we email each other all the time. It's the only way we can keep
in touch. This is her...
She is really adorable and I'm so glad I know her coz she helped
me through the two operations I had, one when I was spayed, and
the other when I had two tumours removed.
Mum and I are going to be holding a sponsored walk on alternate years, in
conjunction with the walkathon held in Banbury for MVD. I suffer
from the disease and mum is trying everything possible to help me
for I'm not at all bothered, it doesn't affect our showing so I
don't really mind.
This is my mum and
me after CRUFTS this year!
My family all live around me and we enjoy lots of long walks over
the fields around the village we live in. This summer mum and I
went for a log walk down the Brecon-Monmouth canal to the pub and
back again, now that was a good walk!!!!! Everyone who saw me stopped
to say how pretty I was and stroked my ears, now are you surprised???!!
Before I wrap this up I want to say thanks to a few people, without
whom this would never have been possible....
- Rosemary Powell, thanks for hosting my page
- Sue Jones, who looks after me thanks for everything
- Rosie, without you I would have been very sad after the ops
- Mum thanks for letting me use the computer, sorry about the
muddy keys!!!
- And finally, Georgii, my mum, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't
be here. You were the best mum in the world and I love you for
ever and ever - you will never be forgotten.
Please sign my guestbook, and
at the bottom of the page are a few links to my favourite sites,
that include Rosie's page and the Rainbow Bridge site. I looked
at this when my mum died and it really helps.
Loads of Love
Giina
